Scribbles and Dabbles: MLP:FIM

Two OC ponies. Well...sort of OC.

See to people who know MLP from the olden days AND collected them AND still do, know that Scribbles and Dabbles were two of the most highly sought after ponies of all times.

They were also garishly colored and screamed the 80's but that's beside the point.

Either way, when I redesigned them I opted to make them a little different. Both are artists, but both are also complete opposites. Dabbles is the quiet, serious and generally down-on-herself pony, while Scribbles is a little more zany, not so serious, and more encouraging pony.

They're friends, and rivals, and tend to get on each other's nerves more often than not. But both of them have such a unique perspective and talent with art that both of them secretly plunder each other for ideas and techniques.

Dabbles is a painterly pony - and veered slightly away from her original bright pink self to a more muted blue. Her cutie mark is no longer that "80's confetti" and is now a paintbrush with purple paint.

Scribbles is a sketch-and-cartooning pony. She retains some of her originals coloring, but has short cropped hair. Her cutie mark isn't confetti either - but rather a pencil, drawing a crooked line. (Hard to see in this pose).

Rather than remaining Earth ponies (as the originals were) I opted to make them unicorns, allowing them to more easily and masterfully work with paintbrushes and pencils (earth ponies tend to be stuck with pencil-in-mouth techniques).
